Chinese Chicken Patties

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken mince
  • 3 finely sliced spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of Chinese 5 spice
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Mix together all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Heat the oil in the frying pan and divide the chicken mixture into 4 and make 4 large patties in the hot frying pan.
  3. Fry for 3- 4 mins each side making sure the pattie is cooked through.
  4. Serve like a burger on a roll with salad or eat like a meatball with vegetables or salad on the side.
  5. VARIATIONS - Serve with avocado, bacon, or satay sauce or chipotle sauce!
