​Homemade Ice Cream

Makes about 9 cups


Ingredients

  • 3 ¼ cups of cold cream
  • 395g sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa

Method

  1. Combine the cream, sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice into a large bowl. Using electric mixers beat the mixture until stiff peaks form.
  2. Stir in the cocoa.
  3. Transfer into a 9 cup capacity container. Cover and freeze until solid.
  4. VARIATIONS: Stir through a cup of chocolate chips to make double chocolate! Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence instead of chocolate to make vanilla ice cream. Or swirl though a cup of caramel sauce or raspberry sauce!
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of rum and 1 cup of raisins!
