Fudge Cake (courtesy of Natasha\'s mum)
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup of cornflakes
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 250 g of butter
- 1/2 cup of sultanas (optional)
Method
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Add melted butter.
- Press into greased tray and bake for 15 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.
- Make 2 icings- Peppermint and Chocolate.
- When cake has cooled for 5 minutes ice with the peppermint icing.
- When the peppermint icing is set then ice with the chocolate icing.
- PEPPERMINT ICING
- 2 cups of icing sugar
- Knob of butter
- A few drops of peppermint essence
- Splash of boiling water
- CHOCOLATE ICING
- 2 cups of icing sugar
- Knob of butter
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- Splash of boiling water
