Makes at 15 - 20

Ingredients

  • 125g butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon
  • vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon
  • baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 150g white chocolate buttons
  • 200g dark chocolate buttons

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180oc. Grease a baking tray with butter.
  2. Beat the butter, vanilla and sugar together until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt and fold into the butter mixture, followed by the chocolate buttons.
  3. Roll into small balls, place on the tray and flatten slightly. Bake until golden (around 15 minutes). Coll on tray and store in airtight container.
