Ingredients
- 500g of button mushrooms
- 20 to 30g of butter
- 2 tablespoons of fresh herbs or 1 teaspoon of dried herbs
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Finely chop half of the mushrooms into small pieces. Chop the other half of the mushrooms into quarters.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan, add the mushrooms and herbs of your choice. Cook on medium for 5 minutes.
- Add the sour cream and cream cheese, stir all together and cook for 3 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve on toast, steak or on their own.
- VARIATIONS
- You can use any type of mushrooms or a mixture of types.
- Use your favourite herbs, we like thyme and oregano best in this recipe.
