Deaf Diversity around the Kitchen Table with Gaby Evans
Ingredients
- 1 cup (110g) almond meal
- 1 2/3 cups (250g) icing sugar
- 1/2 cup (75g) plain flour
- 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 5 whole eggs
- 200g butter, melted (or at room temperature)
Method
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160oC. Place the almond meal, icing sugar, flour, cocoa and baking powder into a bowl and stir to combine.
- 2. Add the whole eggs and stir to combine.
- 3. Add the butter and stir to combine.
- 4. Grease friand or muffin tins. Spoon the mixture into the tins and bake for 15-20 minutes or until spongy to the touch.
- 5. Make approximately 12 friands.
