Chocolate Fruit and Nut Slice
makes 30 pieces
Ingredients
- 150 grams of melted butter
- 270g of plain biscuits crushed into crumbs
- 2 tbsp of cocoa
- 395g tin of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup of shredded coconut
- 1 cup of chocolate chunks (white, milk or dark chocolate)
- 1 cup of dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots)
- 1 cup of silvered almonds or any chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C and line a 30cm X24cm slice tin with baking paper.
- Mix the butter, biscuit crumbs and cocoa together. Press the mixture firmly into the tin using the back of a wet spoon or wet hands.
- Sprinkle all the other ingredients over the base and drizzle with the sweeten condensed milk.
- Bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Let the slice cool before slicing.
