Beef and Green Peppers
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 ½ tablespoons of cornflour
- 1 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons soya sauce
- 500g beef (schnitzel or thinly sliced rump steak)
- 1 teaspoon of minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of oil
Method
- Slice onion, green peppers and beef.
- Heat pan on high with the oil and add the beef in batches stirring until just browned. Remove from heat and set aside in a bowl.
- Place the onion in the hot frying pan and fry till onion starts to soften. Add green pepper and ginger and garlic cook a further 2 mins.
- Dissolve the cornflour in the water and add to the pan, stirring until the water thickens. Add the soya sauce.
- Add the browned beef back and stir to heat through. Season well with lots of pepper.
